Best Online Resources for Nurses

It’s a new year and as we move into 2009, many RNs are looking for online resources to save us time and improve our nursing skills and knowledge. There are so many web sites and internet nursing resouces for tips that it is difficult to determine which ones are the most reliable.

For the first Nursing Show blog post of 2009, I thought I would share with you some of my choices for best online resources (besides the Best Nursing Podcast – The Nursing Show).

Best Nursing Forum

AllNurses.com

Best Nursing Blogs

This is a tough category because there are so many. Some are a snapshot of life, some are a snapshot of nursing school, and some focus on clinical and news affecting an RN.

Emergiblog (Kim talks on nurses, life, and other health blogs)

ERNursey’s Blog (a sample post on Nursing Leadership and Management)

Nursing Research Blog (an evidence based nursing review)

Best Nursing Podcasts

Emergency Nursing Today (Paul Bond on ER nursing and more)

The Nursing Show (ok, I’m biased but our numbers are high)

Best Medical Podcast Network

ProMed Network (resources on all health and medical topics)
