Nephrology Nursing and CNE Resources

1

I had the distinct pleasure to interview Sue Cary, president of the American Nephrology Nurses Association (ANNA) for a future segment on the Nursing Show.  I was fascinated to hear her path to success in her nursing career and that she was still very active in the field as a nurse practioner working with patients having various degrees of kidney disease.

Free CNE Credits

One of the best parts of these interviews is finding opportunities for free continuing education credit opportunities for nurses who listen to the show.  The ANNA website (ANNAnurse.org) offers a rotating monthly CNE classes schedule of free online education opportunities for all nurses.  You will find there current offerings through this page of their website.

One of the questions I get all of the time from the listeners of the show is where they can find continuing education for nurses online.  I am amazed that more people don’t take advantage of the great CNE opportunities offered by their specialty organizations.  In many cases, I have found that there are at least one or two free classes offered by these organizations that are open to any nurse who visits their site.

Thank you to the American Nephrology Nurses Association for being a leader in this CNE opportunity venture and offering new classes EVERY MONTH!  Kudos to this forward thinking and progressive group for their online initiatives that forward all nursing care.
