Tip of The Week- Drowning and Near Drowning Emergencies
Drowning is one of common problem that we usually as the summer season kicks in. Aside from the drowning event itself, there are also problems that are associated with it like trauma injuries, infections, and post resuscitation events that we nurses have to look out for.
In this episode, nurses and nursing students will be provided a review on drowning and submersion emergencies, statistics, interventions, post resuscitation side effects, complications and what nurses can do to prevent drowning events in the community.
