This Week- US National Nurse Discussion

The position of national nurse is basically a stand alone position which represents nursing professionals in the federal level and is responsible for bringing up concerns and issues at the national level.

Along with the discussion on this week’s episode is Kim McAllister of the emergiblog, Lorry Schoenley of correctional nurse.net and Susan Sullivan, the secretary of national nursing network association.

In this first of a two-part episode, they touch on the history or how the idea of a national nurse came about, it’s importance to the nursing community and profession, how the presence of a national nurse can influence change in the health care community most especially in public health, and more.
