Welcome to the Show

Living_Sublime_Wellness_Elizabeth_ScalaGood day and welcome to this week’s episode of the Nursing Show podcast for nurses, by nurses. I’m your host Jamie Davis and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for checking out the show this week. In the health and nursing news items this week we have a story on the documented benefits that advanced practice nurses bring to the healthcare system and how limiting nursing practice hurts healthcare in communities. Then, we’ll have an interview with our new friend Elizabeth Scala of LivingSublimeWellness.com. She’s working with some other nurses on an upcoming project called the “Art of Nursing.” We’ll ask her about that and more in this week’s tip segment. You have all of that coming up later on in this episode.

If you want to get back in touch with me, please drop me an email. You can send those e-mails in to NursingShow@Gmail.com. I love to hear from you and I make sure I respond back to every email that comes in. Send me links to news items you’d like me to cover, interview suggestions with you or somebody you know.

Tip of the Week – Elizabeth Scala on the “Art of Nursing”

Next up in this week’s special interview and tip segment is a chat with online nurse leader Liz Scala who speaks around the country about reconnecting with your “inner nurse” to invigorate your career and passion for nursing. She’s working with some other nurses on an upcoming project called the “Art of Nursing.” In this age of increased use of technology and computers to support healthcare in and out of the hospital, this focuses on the other side of nursing, the “Art of Nursing.” Let’s see what Liz has to say.
