Pharmacies are often the most visited healthcare facilities in the country. They are the center of many people’s healthcare lives and most folks see their pharmacist more often than any other healthcare professional. This makes choosing a local pharmacy an important healthcare decision.
Choosing a Pharmacy
With a multitude of retail pharmacies to choose from it often makes the decision of choosing your pharmacy home a challenging one. We here at the Nursing Show have recently partnered with Target to take a look at some of the services they offer in the Target stores near you that might make them the perfect choice.
Target has a pharmacy loyalty program that is of interest to me and might interest you as well. Did you know that J.D. Power ranked Target Pharmacy, “Highest in customer satisfaction among mass merchandiser pharmacies?” They also offer the Target Pharmacy Rewards program that gives you 5% percent off a day’s shopping after you fill just 5 prescriptions there. That includes getting flu shots or other vaccinations. When you Flip the Script it makes it easy to move your monthly meds over to their excellent service.
Drop Off and Shop
An added benefit is the host of other shopping you can get done in a single visit. Drop off your prescription and then shop for groceries, clothes, household items or even that next birthday gift while you wait. When you’re done shopping, your prescription is often ready to go and you’ll get a text message alerting you when your prescription is ready to pick up. You can use the time saved to get on with the rest of your day’s activities.
I could go on and on about this but the fact of the matter is, choosing a pharmacy home is as important or even more important than your choice of a physician. You can safely have your medications prepared for you, get the kind of service you’d expect from a home town pharmacist and save time, too.
