Welcome to the Show

critical care nurseGood day and welcome to this week’s episode of the Nursing Show podcast for nurses, by nurses. I’m your host Jamie Davis and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for checking out the show this week. In this week’s episode, I recently attended the NTI Critical Care Nurses Conference in Houston and interviewed Beth Henneman, RN, PhD, CCNS, FAAN, 2017 Distinguished Research Lecturer.

Beth chatted with me about her research and how it impacts nurses working in critical care settings. Her interdisciplinary program of research has focused on clinical problems faced by acute and critical care nurses. Research presented includes the evaluation of a collaborative weaning plan, the development, and evaluation of family-centered interventions such as open visiting hours, and the development of a medication reconciliation tool and checklist for evaluating collaborative behaviors during bedside rounds. Here’s that segment from the American Association of Critical-Care Care Nurses ( NTI 2017 conference in Houston.
