This Week- US National Nurse Discussion
(http://www.nursingshow.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Support_NN_badge.jpg)This week's episode is the continuation of the previous week's discussion on having a National Nurse position for the US. The discussion started off last week with the definition of a national nurse, the history of how the idea came about, and the importance of having a national nurse for the nursing profession and the community at large.

The discussion moves on into the presence of an international nurse for the US which is the chief nurse of the public health service. Though this position represent US nurses in international conventions, most of the public is unaware of this and there is only so much that the person in position can do as opposed to the proposed national nurse position. They also touched on how giving future nurses, the present nursing students, the vision of pushing this movement forward as well as providing resources they can follow up on for better understanding of the issue.
